Dr. Yelin's Interests
Every Patient is treated as the unique individual he or she is. Dr. Yelin closely monitors blood levels to ensure that optimal levels are achieved for best protection, with the least side effects. The goal is always optimal health and feeling your best, not just "good for your age."
Dr. Yelin treats the "whole" person taking into account one's lifestyle, motivations, stresses, diet, exercise, and goals.
In addition to preventive medicine, Dr Yelin has a passion for animals. When she is not working, Dr. Yelin spends time with her family and their numerous animals, enjoys horseback riding, skiing, and exercises regularly.
No two people are exactly the same (even identical twins). We all have different genetics, chemistry, toxic loads, stress, hormonal levels, and nutritional statuses. Dr. Yelin customizes every treatment plan according to each person's individual needs.
Julie Beth Yelin, M.D. has practiced medicine for more than 20 years.
Dr. Yelin is a native Houstonian. After graduating Salutatorian from Memorial High School, she continued her journey of a well-rounded education in the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas in Austin. She chose to graduate early, and did so with Honors, for the opportunity to live abroad in Switzerland and travel throughout Europe. Dr. Yelin's education continued with a scholarship to Duke University's Medical School. Upon completion of her residency at George Washington University, Dr. Yelin lived in South America for a year where she learned Spanish. Then Dr. Yelin moved back to the Houston area to begin her medical practice.
Dr. Yelin has always had a strong passion for preventive medicine and healthy living. Her passion only grows stronger each year that she learns more! She is eager and excited to share her knowledge and help her patients prevent age-related diseases, optimize their health, and feel their BEST!
